About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to join our team at Shelter Sheffield. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in delivering our services, line-managing Team Leaders, and ensuring that our service delivery meets high-quality standards.

As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the monitoring and reporting of our work, managing delegated financial responsibilities, and working closely with partners, commissioners, and other stakeholders in the city to ensure that our services are aligned and impactful.

You will also be responsible for identifying and addressing systemic issues that underlie clients' presenting needs, linking up Shelter's national campaigning and policy work with local activity, and ensuring that our services are delivered safely and contract compliant.

This is a varied and complex role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a good understanding of housing and homeless issues. If you have the skills and experience we are looking for, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality services that meet the needs of our clients
  • Line-manage Team Leaders and designated functions
  • Oversee the monitoring and reporting of our work
  • Manage delegated financial responsibilities

  • Identify and address systemic issues that underlie clients' presenting needs
  • Link up Shelter's national campaigning and policy work with local activity
