Job Summary:
Egis Road Operation M40 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Highway Operations Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for scouting and briefing operations on the M40 motorway, assisting with the planning and execution of scouting operations, and identifying the scope of works within closures as defined by the programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scouting Operations: Conduct scouting operations for planned maintenance work or defect rectification, advising on the expected duration of each task and recommending appropriate resources and materials.
- Briefing Packs: Create comprehensive briefing packs for all planned works on the network, ensuring that all necessary information and instructions are included.
- Quality Control: Visit sites to review works undertaken by works teams before closing down defects, actively reporting health and safety concerns and promoting a positive and safe working environment.
- Problem-Solving: Resolve issues on site and provide solutions to the wider team, utilizing problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
Requirements:
- Extensive Knowledge: Require extensive knowledge of the M40 network and the requirements of the defects they will be scouting.
- Technical Skills: Good knowledge and understanding of the Microsoft Office package, including Excel, Word, and MS Project.
- Education and Experience: A good level of education and experience of working on a high-speed network an advantage.
Working Environment:
This will be an office-based position with regular site visits along the highway. All employees are required to be aware of their responsibilities towards health and safety along with their colleagues in the workplace.
