Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Supervisor to join our team at Government Facility Services Ltd. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our facilities, including prisons.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Electricians and General Maintenance staff to deliver electrical services and maintenance across our sites.
- Take operational responsibility for the electrical service delivery on site, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other teams to identify and address electrical infrastructure needs and develop solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements
- A minimum of five years' experience as an Electrician, ideally within an FM environment and/or secure environment, military, health, or similar sectors.
- Qualifications equivalent to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations.
- Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical or building service systems.
- Previous experience leading teams of Electricians and General Maintenance staff.
- A certificate in BS7671 - The Requirements for Electrical Installations, 17th or 18th edition.
- A rounded knowledge of risk and compliance and demonstrable planning & project management skills.
- Good Health & Safety knowledge.
- Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills.
