We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Early Help Worker to join our team at Kent County Council. As an Early Help Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children, young people, and their families who are experiencing multiple and complex issues.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess the needs of children, young people, and their families and develop intervention plans to prevent the need for specialist services.
  • Provide direct 1-1 work with children and young people to promote change and work in partnership with other services to get the best support for families.
  • Support parents and carers to reduce the negative impact on children and young people's physical development, emotional wellbeing, and enhance their learning and life chances.
  • Create a support network for families and work collaboratively with other services to provide a holistic approach to support.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong understanding of the principles of Early Help and the ability to work in a strengths-based systemic approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with children, young people, and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Knowledge of the local area and its services, with the ability to navigate complex systems and networks.
