Exciting Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, Term-Time Only)

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in a picturesque village in Dorset. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work with students aged 11-16 with special educational needs, including Autism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students, ensuring their well-being and safety.
  • Assist students in reaching goals set out in their Education and Healthcare Plans (EHCPs).
  • Implement positive behavior strategies adapted to individual needs.
  • Record and maintain accurate documentation of incidents and health and safety matters.
  • Encourage positive social interaction and collaborative teamwork.

  • A genuine passion for working with young people and building trust.
  • The ability to manage challenging behaviors effectively.
  • A positive, creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills.
  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
