Job Summary

The Mental Health Nurse (RMN/RNLD) is a key member of the multidisciplinary care team, responsible for assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating care. This role requires effective communication, influencing change, and promoting health and best practices, patient safety, and experience.

Main Responsibilities
  • Act as or train to become a Practice Assessor, supporting student nurses' learning and development through assessment and feedback.
  • Comply with NMC registration, revalidation, and Code of Conduct standards.
  • Support the implementation of nursing strategies and adhere to KMPT policies and values.
  • Identify, report, and respond to safeguarding concerns.
  • Prioritize patient safety through safe practice, risk management, and incident reporting.
  • Provide holistic care, including education, medication management, and support for patients and their carers.
  • Supervise staff, manage workloads, and undertake specific clinical responsibilities as required.
