ROLE SUMMARY
This position involves contributing to the advancement of crop science through effective coordination of research trials.

We are seeking a dedicated Research Trials Coordinator to support our Farming Systems and Agronomy team. The successful candidate will facilitate variety evaluation programs for crops, including sugar beet and pulses, and will be responsible for managing research-driven field and glasshouse trials. This role also includes collaboration with agricultural stakeholders and industry partners.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing technical assistance to the Farming Systems team and other departments as needed.

• Assisting in research and consultancy services, particularly those related to Integrated Pest Management (IPM) by developing protocols and analyzing data.

• Coordinating variety evaluations for sugar beet and pulses within funded programs.

• Managing trial coordination and contract support.

This role presents an opportunity to enhance practical and professional skills in teamwork, time management, communication, and problem-solving. The position may require physical activity, including walking, standing, and manual handling of materials.

We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements to accommodate personal commitments.

LOCATION
The position is based at our facility, which is conveniently located with access to public transport and parking.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Essential Qualifications
Preferred:

• A levels in scientific disciplines or equivalent experience.

• Practical experience in agriculture or environmental sciences.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proficiency in IT applications, including MS Word and Excel.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.

• Understanding of confidentiality protocols.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.

Desirable Skills

• Strong numerical and data analysis skills.

• Experience in field experimentation or ecological assessments.

• Customer service experience in any capacity.

• A valid driving license or access to transportation.
