About the Role:

New College Swindon is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Animal Management Lecturer to join our team. As a key member of our Animal Management department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive teaching sessions, utilizing industry links to provide students with a comprehensive learning experience.
  • Develop and teach a range of courses within Animal Management, from Level 2 to Level 5, with opportunities for course leadership.
  • Act as a role model for aspiring animal managers, demonstrating personal qualities, values, and high standards of animal welfare.
  • Contribute to the development of the Animal Management department, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental goals.
  • Engage with the management team to ensure high-quality teaching and learning occurs, and work towards achieving achievement objectives and success measures for your groups.

Requirements:

  • Teaching qualification at Level 5 or commitment to work towards during employment.
  • Minimum Level 4 qualification in a related animal field.
  • GCSE in English and Maths.
  • Knowledge of assessment procedures.
  • Understanding of current developments in the subject area.
