Job Title: Swimming Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Swimming Instructor to join our team at Mytime Active. As a Swimming Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons to a wide range of ages and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver swimming lessons to a high standard, ensuring participants achieve all outcomes at each stage.
  • Assess participants' abilities and development, and trigger movements to progress them to the next stage.
  • Manage and complete registers, highlighting any issues or concerns to reception.
  • Take care of equipment issued by Mytime Active, ensuring it is used correctly and operated within health and safety guidelines.
  • Proactively contribute to future swimming developments or improvements, providing feedback to the swimming coordinator.
  • Ensure all customer/parent/guardian queries or complaints are directed to reception.
  • Be responsible for promoting good conduct and safe use by all participants while on the pool surround and in the water.
  • Take reasonable care of your personal, other employees', and participants' health and safety, and cooperate with management to ensure compliance with Mytime Active's health and safety rules and legislative requirements.
  • Adhere to all Mytime Active policies and procedures, and demonstrate commitment to the company's values and objectives.
  • Follow and promote Mytime Active's Safeguarding policies and procedures, and report any child protection matters to the designated safeguarding lead.
Requirements:
  • Significant work experience within the swimming pool environment.
  • Hold an ASA or Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification.
  • Hold a NRASTC or NPLQ qualification, or be willing to undertake the qualification.
  • Other qualifications such as Adult and Baby, Stage 8-10, or other aquatic disciplines are desirable.
