Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Manager to join our team in the North East. As a Project Controls Manager, you will lead a multi-functional team, working collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to provide realistic baselines, embed effective controls, and drive delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Embed a robust breakdown structure, integrating data from controls functions.
- Coordinate and lead estimating sessions to reach an agreed cost baseline.
- Coordinate and lead planning sessions to compile the master project schedule baseline.
- Manage risk assessments to support cost and schedule predictability.
- Stakeholder management to ensure key stakeholders sign off the baseline.
- Embed a robust update process to manage schedule, interfaces, cost, risk, and changes.
- Guide and influence the principal contractor and client to drive delivery.
- Control costs using conceptual estimating, funding stage gates, and procurement principles.
- Lead the change management process and workflow.
- Identify trends and root causes of deviations against the baseline.
Requirements
- Proven experience in delivering controls in a major project/programme environment.
- Experience working in the Hi-tech & Manufacturing specialist sector.
- Experience in managing a multi-functional controls team.
- Proficiency with controls software applications.
- Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes.
- Reliable with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet project deadlines.
