Workplace and Assurance/Quality Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Workplace and Assurance/Quality Manager to join our team at AWE plc. This role is a key position within our Skills Academy, and the successful candidate will play a crucial part in ensuring the provision of high-quality apprenticeships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a sector-leading quality assurance and improvement system to ensure the delivery of high-quality apprenticeships.
  • Lead a team of instructors to ensure that company and national contracted requirements for development are met, with a focus on maintaining at least OFSTED Good status.
  • Develop and implement performance management strategies for direct reports, ensuring that they are equipped to meet the demands of the role.
  • Supervise and support administrators on management information-related tasks, ensuring that all stakeholders are compliant with relevant documents, policies, and regulations.
  • Provide expert knowledge of ESFA compliance requirements to mitigate single-point-of-failure risk.
  • Ensure Academy compliance with all Education Skills Funding Agency contractual requirements, including funding administration and data submissions.
  • Manage the capture and reporting of management information in relation to internal and external requirements.
Requirements:
  • Appropriate professional training qualification or equivalent.
  • Appropriate assessment and/or verification qualifications.
  • Good levels of literacy and numeracy.
  • Proven presentation skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to be understood by a range of audiences.
  • Good influencing skills to ensure the appropriate learning opportunities and development of individuals.
  • Personally well-organised and able to work in an organised manner, coping with multiple tasks and able to deliver in the face of challenges.
  • Expert coaching skills and ability to inspire confidence in others.
  • Fluent in the development and use of metrics.
  • Proven success in developing and managing a high-performing team.
