Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Manager to join our team at Michael Page International Canada Limited. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading the planning and preparation of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information, and providing expert guidance on financial reporting and general ledger structure activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Lead the planning and preparation of financial reports, including year-end audits, consolidation of financial results, and drafting of financial statements.
  • Financial Analysis: Assist in researching and implementing new accounting pronouncements, compiling quarterly and annual financial statements, and ensuring compliance with Canadian GAAP and ASPE reporting standards.
  • Financial Systems: Assist in the design, testing, and implementation of new accounting and finance systems, and provide expertise in digital financial systems.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to staff on financial reporting and general ledger structure activities, and assist in the development of internal controls and workflow process improvements.
  • Special Projects: Complete special projects and undertake new initiatives as required, and provide expert advice on financial reporting and general ledger structure activities.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business or commerce.
  • Designation: Designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of financial accounting and reporting experience, with experience in Canadian GAAP and ASPE reporting standards.
  • Skills: Proactive self-starter, with the ability to work independently and in team settings, deadline focus, and exceptional planning and reporting skills.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the manufacturing industry would be an asset.
