Job Description

Job Title: Progress Tutor

Location: Wakefield campus

Job Type: Full-time

Reports to: Curriculum Area Team

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Progress Tutor to join our team at Askham Bryan College. As a Progress Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students to achieve their academic potential and succeed in their chosen courses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tutorial framework group sessions (Progression and Development sessions) to students at the Wakefield campus
  • Support students through tracking and supporting academic progress by conducting regular personal progress review meetings
  • Liaise with curriculum area team members and parents/carers to ensure students are performing well and enjoying their course of study
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve student outcomes and achievement

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with students in a similar role or capacity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their academic potential
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Understanding of the 16-18 provision and its requirements
