Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Geoenvironmental Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in geoenvironmental projects, including contaminated land and geotechnical assessments. You will be responsible for delivering projects from inception to completion, managing teams, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery
    • Deliver all stages of geoenvironmental projects, including coordination of financial and technical input to proposals and management of E3P resources.
    • Use software and technical guidance documents for the assessment, modelling, and interpretation of data to determine the required outcome for the project or assignment.
  • Team Management
    • Manage day-to-day financial performance and profitability of projects for own schemes and those of the wider team.
    • Identify and expand new opportunities and marketing avenues for growth and development.
  • Client Management
    • Lead meetings with local authority contaminated land officers and other regulators.
    • Contribute to the office culture, conduct, and discipline to encourage an enjoyable, productive, and efficient workplace for all.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject and preferably a secondary qualification such as an MSc, or geoenvironmental related qualification.
  • At least eight years' experience in a geoenvironmental field with demonstrable experience of ground engineering, contaminated land, and geotechnical assessments.
  • Proven track record of technical expertise in delivery of contaminated land and geotechnical projects, including managing geoenvironmental investigations, writing and reviewing desk study and ground investigation reports, coal mining risk assessments, geotechnical assessments, materials management, and preparing Materials Management Plans, supervising and validating a variety of remedial schemes.
  • Experience of preparing (or assisting) gas and groundwater detailed quantitative risk assessments using, but not limited to, the COSIM and CLEA framework and EA P20 model.
  • Writing and reviewing Construction Phase Plans and RAMS documentation.
  • Experience of team management, overseeing workload and resource management, managing client expectations, and delivering projects in a timely manner.
  • Client-focused attitude with an excellent track record of successful project delivery with respect to timeframes, adherence to budgets, and maintaining key performance indicators.
  • Excellent IT skills with advanced skills in MS Office.
  • Good problem-solving/contingency planning skills with the ability to find quick, innovative, and practical solutions.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with others to form strong positive working relationships with colleagues, Clients, and contractors at all levels.
  • A full UK Driving Licence (manual).
