Role Summary

We are in search of a seasoned Crisis Manager to enhance our Business Resilience division and spearhead our crisis management initiatives. This position is crucial for aligning crisis management protocols with Smart DCC's goals and adhering to industry-leading practices.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist the Head of Business Resilience in crafting a robust Business Resilience framework, emphasizing Crisis Management strategies in line with internal regulations and ISO 22361 and 22301 standards.

· Direct the development and upkeep of Crisis Management Plans, playbooks, and flowcharts, while collaborating with Internal and External Communications to produce clear messaging and press announcements.

· Clarify roles and responsibilities within the Crisis Management Team (CMT) through training, awareness initiatives, and regular crisis simulations.

· Organize and execute crisis simulations that comply with DCC policies and ISO 22361 standards to bolster the CMT's skills.

· Provide assistance during crisis situations, coordinating with internal teams, governmental bodies, industry collaborators, and service providers for effective crisis management and teamwork.

· Conduct post-crisis debriefs and assessments to pinpoint improvement areas and suggest revisions to crisis management strategies and procedures.

· Stay informed on industry trends, risks, threats, and best practices to refine crisis management strategies, collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders as necessary.

Candidate Profile


• Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing incidents and crisis situations.


• Over 3 years of experience in designing and executing crisis management simulations.


• Proven stakeholder management experience across various seniority levels. Knowledge of Business Resilience fields, including Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.


• Familiarity with ISO 22301, ISO 22361, and BCI Good Practice Guidelines is advantageous.


• Academic qualifications in relevant fields are a plus.


• Decisive: Capable of making critical decisions promptly.


• Composed under Pressure.


• Strategic Thinker: Able to formulate comprehensive crisis management strategies.


• Exceptional Communication Skills: Proficient in conveying information clearly to stakeholders.


• Adaptable and Flexible: Able to adjust during and after crisis scenarios.


• Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Effectively addressing root causes.


• Team Building and Motivation: Capable of inspiring confidence and maintaining team morale.
