Assistant Category Manager, Product Development

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Category Management Specialist to join our team at Morepeople 01780. As an Assistant Category Manager, Product Development, you will play a key role in driving engagement with our category strategy and influencing retailers to execute our brand plans and initiatives.
About the Role:
- You will be responsible for using continuous data sources to guide and support our commercial team in developing relationships with retailers to understand their shoppers and maximize category opportunities.
- You will provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders through continuous data, shopper, and category knowledge, demonstrating category thought leadership and championing the voice of the shopper.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and influence retailer category reviews to drive business growth and category optimization.
- Develop and implement category-based selling strategies to maximize sales and market share.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with retailers to influence their decisions and drive business results.
- Utilize data provider tools and databases to inform category strategies and drive business outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement marketing plans that drive business growth and category optimization.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in FMCG category management, preferably in the food industry.
- Proven track record of leading and influencing retailer category reviews and driving business growth.
- Experience in category-based selling and building collaborative relationships with retailers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive business outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
