Electrical Design Engineer Job Description

Our client, a well-established firm based in Telford, is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting independent work, requiring judgement in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement electrical design solutions
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure compliance with British (BS) and European (EN) standards
  • Communicate effectively with clients and contractors to understand their requirements
  • Design and conduct tests to qualify the final product or system
  • Prepare product documentation, write reports, and give presentations

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices
  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Autodesk
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
