Support Worker (PMLD) Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Support Worker (PMLD) to join our team at a newly established Primary School in South East London.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a range of students who require support with their learning difficulties, including non-verbal students.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of children with PMLD and be able to contribute to support plans and strategies to meet the needs of each student.

The successful candidate will be patient and able to work with the children on a 1:1 basis, attending to their personal needs, including social health, hygiene, first aid, and welfare.

The school is looking for someone with a positive mindset and the ability to strive in a new environment.

The successful candidate will be required to have previous experience working with children with SEN, ideally PMLD, and hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with PMLD on a 1:1 basis
  • Attend to pupils' personal needs, including social health, hygiene, first aid, and welfare
