About This Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced legal professional to join our growing team of experts in the field of professional liability. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of claims, providing strategic guidance to insured parties, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations into professional liability claims, assessing potential liabilities and setting appropriate reserves.
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to defend insured parties against allegations of negligence or misconduct.
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants and opposing counsel, striving for mutually agreeable resolutions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing clear and concise communication throughout the claims process.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across various departments to ensure seamless claim handling.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent legal qualification.
  • Active membership in good standing with the relevant bar association.
  • Proven experience in handling professional liability claims, preferably within an insurance environment.
