About the Position

Ecclesiastical Insurance Group is seeking a dedicated Account Handler to join our dynamic team.

In the role of Account Handler, you will be pivotal in nurturing robust relationships with our existing clientele while actively contributing to the growth of our business through proactive outreach. You will have the authority to engage with insurers and clients to facilitate transactions effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare renewal schedules and proactively engage with clients ahead of renewal dates, ensuring adherence to industry regulations.
  • Promptly address incoming inquiries for new business and create tailored quotations for prospective clients.
  • Utilize your negotiation expertise to explore alternative quotes and identify optimal solutions for clients well before renewal deadlines.
  • Manage all relevant documentation, including invoices and credit notes, to ensure a seamless renewal process for our clients.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling within our client base and collaborate with colleagues to maximize revenue potential.
  • Work closely with our Claims Handler to provide effective claims support as necessary.
  • Prioritize client requests and strive for satisfactory resolutions, fostering strong relationships with our valued clients.
  • Adhere to compliance protocols, FCA guidelines, and maintain organized file management.
  • Develop positive relationships with insurance providers to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Monitor delegated authority under agency agreements and maintain an effective credit control system.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Previous experience in insurance broking, preferably with a focus on rural, household, and liability insurance
  • Comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of commercial insurance products
  • Experience in gathering information from clients via telephone and email
  • Proficient in obtaining quotes and placing business
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong negotiation abilities and the capacity to build effective relationships with clients and insurers
  • Solid understanding of FCA requirements within a broking context
