**Job Summary**

REED Specialist Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team in finance. This is a full-time opportunity, office-based, with a competitive salary and room for growth and development within the finance team and business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Accountant across the finance function for a group of 3 companies. Key duties will include:

  • Management of the purchase ledger function
  • Statement reconciliation
  • Subcontractors Monthly Return
  • Intrastat Dispatches & EC Sales
  • Intrastat Arrivals
  • TSS Declarations
  • EU VAT Reclaim
  • Postponed Accounting for VAT Schedule
  • Management of fuel receipts
  • Import documentation

The ideal candidate will have previous accounts experience and a good working knowledge of MS Excel. They will be a team player, with excellent communication and organizational skills.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Support the Accountant in managing the finance function
  • Process and reconcile financial transactions
  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records
  • Prepare and submit financial reports
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial processes and procedures

**Requirements:**

  • Previous accounts experience
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
