Job Title: Civil Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for leading the civil engineering design on projects from small to large, including infrastructure for commercial, retail, residential, and education sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and lead civil engineering projects from concept to completion.
  • Develop and implement infrastructure designs for various sectors, including SuDS drainage systems, road buildups, and hard landscaping schemes.
  • Liaise with statutory bodies, such as Thames Water, Local Highways Departments, and Environment Agency.
  • Utilize technical analysis and design software, including Windes MicroDrainage, Civils 3D/PDS, and AutoCAD.
  • Maintain high-quality and consistent technical output, including drawings and reports.
  • Attend design meetings, site meetings, and conduct site inspections as required.
  • Lead and collaborate with colleagues, clients, contractors, and designers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 1+ years' experience in industry within relevant field.
  • Chartered or near Chartered status (MICE) is preferred.
  • Varied experience in software, including Sewers for Adoption, CIRIA SuDS Manual, and National Planning Policy Framework.
  • Excellent report writing, communication, and numerical skills required.
