We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Chef to join our team at Blom and Blom, a reputable and established provider of childcare services.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, catering to the dietary needs of large groups, including children with special requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and cooking nutritious meals that meet the high standards of our childcare setting
  • Developing and implementing menu plans that ensure a balanced and varied diet for our young clients
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy kitchen environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations
  • Managing kitchen stock control and ordering food supplies, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations
  • Collaborating with our childcare team to provide exceptional care and support to our children

Requirements for the role include:

  • A current Food Hygiene Certificate and First Aid Certificate
  • Sound knowledge of food allergies and dietary requirements
  • Experience working in a childcare setting, preferably with a focus on early years nutrition
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and cook nutritious meals for diverse groups
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and best practices
