Job Overview

At Version 1, a distinguished AWS Premier Consulting Partner, you will join our esteemed AWS Practice, which is composed of top-tier Architects, DevOps Engineers, and Consultants.

Our client engagements are diverse, providing you with the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies. You will collaborate within various teams to deliver solutions for some of the most prominent clients across Europe.

The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities and technologies, including the development of innovative cloud solutions, executing cloud migration initiatives, and assisting development teams with DevOps practices (such as CI/CD pipelines and configuration management).

Your key responsibilities will include:

Enhancing the AWS Platform utilizing Terraform and constructing CI/CD pipelines. Adhering to AWS best practices. Contributing to Version 1's reputation with clients. Leveraging your expertise to provide strategic guidance.

Given the nature of this role, on-site presence in Gloucestershire is required four days a week. We are open to discussing support for travel and accommodation expenses if necessary.

Required Qualifications

Essential Criteria:

Must possess current Security Clearance (SC). Availability to work on-site in Gloucestershire four days a week. Proven experience as an AWS DevOps Engineer or a similar role, such as Cloud Engineer or Platform Engineer with AWS expertise. Proficient in DevOps tools including Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and AWS CI/CD services. Demonstrated experience with at least one programming language, such as Python, NodeJS, Java, Ruby, or similar. Practical experience with Linux (RHEL, CentOS) and Bash scripting.
