The Role: Domestic Major Loss Adjuster
As a Domestic Major Loss Adjuster, you will play a crucial role in handling complex and high-value domestic insurance claims. You'll be responsible for investigating losses, assessing damages, negotiating settlements, and ensuring fair and timely resolutions for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of domestic major loss claims exceeding £100,000 in value.
- Conduct thorough investigations to determine the cause and extent of losses.
- Assess damages accurately and provide detailed reports.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and other parties involved.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, surveyors, and legal professionals.
- Maintain excellent communication with clients throughout the claims process.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a domestic claims adjuster, ideally with CILA status or evidence of progression towards qualification.
- Strong technical expertise in handling complex and major domestic losses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence.
