Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cardiac Staff Nurse to join our team at Bupa. As a key member of our close-knit team, you will provide exceptional patient-focused care within our 33-bed medical ward, which caters to both Neuro and Cardiac patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate high standards of nursing care for patients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Work collaboratively with the team, supervising and directing more junior staff, and deputizing for the Senior Staff Nurse as required.
  • Act as a clinical role model, driving high standards of care at all times and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Follow hospital policies and procedures with due care and attention, ensuring the safe handling of medications and equipment.
  • Coordinate and monitor patient care, reporting any variances appropriately and ensuring the effective management of patient flow.
  • Practice multidisciplinary team care, contributing actively to its successful management and maintaining positive working relationships with Consultants.
  • Ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available, and that all equipment is in working order.
Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse with a valid NMC PIN.
  • Nursing experience in a Cardiac Unit, ICU, or a Medical Ward within an acute hospital.
  • Experience working with cardiac patients, including cardiac ablation, aortic stenosis, CABG, and heart failure.
  • Competent in ECGs, IV administration of drugs, CPAP, AIRVO, and PICC lines.
  • Essential skills in Phlebotomy and Cannulation.
  • Pleasant and cheerful manner, being supportive and approachable.
