**Job Summary**

As a Visiting Moderator for Pearson, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our assessments. You will visit centres to moderate certain forms of work, which have been marked initially by teacher examiners/assessors. This will involve sampling procedures and ensuring that the work meets our high standards.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Conduct moderation of parts of a subject examination, such as coursework, projects, and special studies, which have been marked initially by teachers in the centres.

• Undertake, when necessary, the direct assessment of school-based components in the subject where centres opt not to make initial assessments.

• Complete and submit centre reports to the Team Leader or Principal Moderator as required.

**Requirements**

• Hold a degree or equivalent qualification.

• Be a qualified teacher with UK-based teaching experience in the relevant qualification and subject.

• Possess a high level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme.

• Demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Be IT literate.
