Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Quinton Davies. As a key member of our accounting services department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality client work, including statutory accounts, consolidated accounts, management accounts, tax computations, VAT returns, payroll, and general advice to clients on UK companies and partnerships.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Produce high-level client work, including completion of statutory accounts, consolidated accounts, management accounts, tax computation, VAT returns, payroll, and general advice to clients on UK companies and partnerships.
  2. Provide technical assistance to members of staff in the accounting services department.
  3. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and ensure clients are informed of the impact of these changes.
  4. Assist the Directors in monitoring outstanding client work and ensure work is completed by the accounting services team in a timely manner.
  5. Identify and implement improved working processes.
  6. Ensure work processes are documented and maintained to quality assurance levels.
  7. Design and implement new or improved accounting systems for a range of clients, including internal training of client staff in the use of such systems.
  8. Prepare and present client management accounts.
  9. Contribute to networking and business development activities, including creating new client and business contacts for the SME department to establish strong business links and channels to access new business.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with a minimum of 2 years PQE and experience with accountancy packages such as Xero, Quickbooks, IRIS, SAPA, and Sage Line 50.
