About The Role

EKC Group is seeking to appoint supply lecturers to their approved staffing list. To respond to demand from the community and employers, we need flexible individuals looking for hourly-paid teaching and training roles who want to make a difference in the Multi Trades skills area. As a Supply Lecturer at EKC Group, you will teach, train, and assess students in various learning environments, ensuring a high-quality learning experience. Your role will also include providing support to learners to enable them to achieve their maximum potential and leading on designated study programmes and/or courses, with a key responsibility for ensuring the design, delivery, and evaluation of programmes.

About You

  • Experience in multi-trade services such as Carpentry, Bricklaying, Plumbing, Plastering, Painting & Decorating, Electrical will be beneficial.
  • You'll be organised and creative with the ability to plan and teach engaging and innovative lessons.
  • You will be confident in sharing your knowledge with learners.
  • With your multi-trades knowledge, you will assess and track students' progress, to further plan intervention. You'll ensure all students develop the skills they need to succeed.
  • If you're not a qualified teacher, ideally you would have experience in delivering training in the workplace, however this isn't essential as training can be provided.
  • You must have a positive outlook and be empathetic towards learners.

Working in Further Education isn't the same as working in a secondary school, you'll be supporting adults and young people in practical environments and machine workshops with lathes, CNC, and Milling Machines.
