Job Title: Equality Diversity and Inclusion Manager: Inclusive

City, University of London is seeking an experienced Equality Diversity and Inclusion Manager to join its Office for Institutional Equity and Inclusion (OIEI). The successful candidate will play a critical role in promoting and championing inclusive and accessible communities across the university and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to deliver key University EDI objectives, ensuring compliance with statutory and non-statutory commitments.
  • Collaborate with the Head of EDI on broader EDI-related projects and work with members of the EDI Board and OIEI team to implement an aligned approach to all EDI relevant activity.
  • Ensure that all EDI initiatives are delivered through an inclusive and accessible lens, leveraging expert knowledge and experience to drive policy and design delivery and improvement of support and services.
Person Specification:
  • Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject and/or demonstrable experience in a comparable setting.
  • Proven project and people management skills, with experience of Athena SWAN and/or other equality Charter Marks awards.
  • Strong understanding of EDI principles and equality legislation, with excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, independently, and co-operatively as part of a team, with excellent IT skills and ability to analyse, interpret, summarise, and report on complex statistical data.
