Project Planner Job Description

A&P Group Ltd is seeking a skilled Project Planner to join our team at A&P Tyne. As a Project Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of our latest endeavour, a full turn-key equipment project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complexity and ensure smooth workflows
  • Create detailed project timelines and schedules
  • Identify critical paths and bottlenecks to ensure deadlines are met
  • Assign resources precisely and effectively to avoid under- or over-utilisation
  • Track and manage inventory to ensure parts and materials are available when needed
  • Coordinate quality inspections at critical points in the process
  • Prepare cost estimates and ensure the project stays within budget
  • Provide progress reports to management and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of fabrication, structural and production processes and engineering principles
  • Qualifications in Engineering, Production Management, Construction or similar
  • Project planning and organisational skills
  • Working experience with relevant planning software and tools (Microsoft Project)
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders internally and externally
