We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced European Freight Operations Coordinator to join our team at Freight Personnel. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of freight across Europe, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with European road freight suppliers to ensure reliable and cost-effective services.
- Calculate and provide freight quotations for export and import shipments, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.
- Manage the operational administration of freight shipments, including job cards and booking confirmations.
- Raise all necessary operational documentation, including customs clearance formalities.
- Oversee the movement of freight consignments through to successful delivery, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
- Invoice clients and complete job files in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in European road freight operations, with a strong understanding of the industry and its complexities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to calculate freight quotations and manage complex logistics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience of using IT systems to manage freight operations.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary of £28,000 to £31,000 per annum.
- A comprehensive pension scheme.
- 22 days annual leave, plus bank holidays.
