Fabricator - Plater

Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled Fabricator - Plater to join our team at BAE Systems. As a Fabricator - Plater, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing parts of a ship, ensuring high-quality results and meeting engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to plan and execute fabrication tasks
• Marking and cutting materials to precise dimensions
• Assembling and installing ship structures, including shell, decks, bulkheads, frames, and longitudinals
• Fabricating and outfitting ship items, such as seats, ladders, false flooring, and panels
• Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations, including SHE and Risk Assessment
• Collaborating with the team to achieve project goals and deadlines

Requirements:

• Modern Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent
• Current knowledge and experience in fabrication and assembly
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
