Job Description

Senior Dementia Specialist Nurse

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide evidence-based care, offering practical advice and emotional support to families of individuals with dementia, our care team, and the individuals themselves when needed.
  • Collaborate with Dementia Care Managers to implement the My Life Strategy, ensuring our care homes deliver exceptional dementia care.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for our care home staff and the families of those living with dementia, promoting knowledge and skills.
  • Contribute to shaping, reviewing, and auditing this specialized area of practice.
  • Provide support throughout all stages, including bereavement, to ensure families and residents receive comprehensive care.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with a valid UK NMC pin.
  • Extensive experience in dementia nursing.
