Retail Manager Trainee

Winemark is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as a Retail Manager Trainee. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for developing the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in a retail management role.
Main Responsibilities:- Participate in comprehensive training program to develop skills and knowledge in retail management
- Assist in the day-to-day running of a store, including customer service, sales, and stock management
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive business growth
- Lead and motivate a team of sales assistants to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
- Monitor and control stock levels, including ordering and receiving stock
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety, security, and customer service standards
- Minimum 1 year's experience in a retail or customer service environment
- Valid driving license and access to a car
- Good standard of education, including 5 GCSEs with English Language and Maths or equivalent
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
As a Retail Manager Trainee, you will receive comprehensive training and development to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in a retail management role. This will include training in sales, customer service, stock management, and leadership skills.
You will also have the opportunity to work across various stores, gaining experience and developing your skills in different retail environments.
Performance Reviews and Probationary Period:During your 12-month training program, you will have regular performance reviews to ensure you are meeting the required standards. A probationary period of 6 months will also be in place to ensure you are a good fit for the role.
If you are successful in completing the training program and meeting the required standards, you will be offered a permanent management role within Winemark.
