Mobile Plant Technician

Employment Type:
Permanent

Working Hours:
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with potential weekend work

Role Overview:
As a Mobile Plant Technician, you will report directly to the Site Manager and be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various mobile equipment, including excavators, loaders, screeners, and crushers. Your expertise will ensure that all mechanical systems are functioning optimally and that our fleet remains in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct repairs on malfunctioning mechanical systems and vehicles as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities using our management system.
  • Ensure all trucks and plant machinery meet the required operational standards.
  • Perform routine inspections every six weeks.
  • Carry out MOT inspections and trailer assessments.
  • Engage in maintenance tasks on road sweepers and other mobile equipment.
  • Collaborate with fellow technicians on larger projects to ensure efficiency.
  • Adhere to the established maintenance schedule and execute system maintenance as directed.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues in malfunctioning systems.
