Job Title: Commercial and Residential Property Solicitor

Job Summary:

Bydand Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Commercial and Residential Property Solicitor to join our team. As a key member of our property damage team, you will be responsible for handling complex liability and coverage work, including large loss household and commercial property damage claims, product liability, and subsidence claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle own caseload of property damage work, including assessing coverage, liability, quantum, and strategy
  • Assist the Partner with complex large loss matters, including preparing draft advices to clients and conducting investigations
  • Prepare instructions to counsel and experts, and attend client meetings, strategy discussions, and conferences
  • Draft applications to court and attend settlement negotiations and ADR meetings
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the country to manage a broad range of commercial insurance work

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of property damage work or experience of other areas of subrogated loss
  • Strong understanding of complex liability and coverage work, including large loss household and commercial property damage claims
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results
