Join Suffolk County Council as a key member of the Children and Young People (CYP) Intelligence team. As a SQL / BI Developer, you will play a crucial role in transforming complex data into actionable intelligence to improve the life outcomes of young people in Suffolk. Your expertise in SQL query building, data visualization with Power BI, and experience working with large data warehouses will be essential in supporting the delivery of a self-service approach towards performance management. You will work closely with the CYP Intelligence hub team to develop understanding of data and intelligence across the business, creating tools and technologies that assist in developing an effective evidence-led approach to service delivery. Key responsibilities include creating SQL queries, designing user-friendly Power BI dashboards, and supporting Business Intelligence Managers with reports and data. If you have significant quantifiable knowledge of SQL, experience in working with complex data warehouses, and data visualisation experience with Power BI or a similar package, we encourage you to apply. The successful candidate will be key in supporting the delivery of a self-service approach towards performance management and will have the ability to research and resolve issues that they will face when building reports and writing queries. The CYP Intelligence hub team are a group of intelligence analysts, data specialists, and system trainers who work centrally within children services, across the areas of education, early help, 0-19 services, social care, and youth justice. The team is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks or police vetting will be required for relevant posts.
