Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Configuration Manager to lead the technical delivery of the Canadian River Class Destroyer Configuration Management Capability. As a key member of the Product Configuration & Change team, you will be responsible for implementing and developing appropriate tools, processes, and practices to support the effective implementation of Configuration Management plans and policies within the River Class Destroyer program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical delivery of the Canadian River Class Destroyer Configuration Management Capability
- Support the effective implementation of Configuration Management plans and policies within the River Class Destroyer program
- Ensure the River Class Destroyer delivers its obligations under the EIA-649 by supporting baseline establishment of Functional, Allocated, and Product Baseline
- Develop and maintain the Configuration baselines in alignment with the design review strategy and share these baselines with the wider project
- Implement and develop appropriate tools, processes, and practices as in the Product Configuration Management plan
- Support, prepare, and maintain the River Class Destroyer Product Configuration with a focus on the Product Configuration Management Plan
- Guide Senior Engineers and provide technical guidance where required
Requirements:
Essential:
- Extensive product knowledge, across different disciplines including an understanding of the key interfaces between systems & sub systems
- Good knowledge, and ideally a user, of product change and configuration management functions (Planning, Identification, Change Control, Status Accounting, Verification & Audit)
- Proficient in using Product Data Management (PDM) / Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems i.e. TeamCentre, or Windchill
- Experience of coaching and guiding team members
Desirable:
- Integrated bill of materials (iBoM) and change management in Windchill knowledge
