Position Overview:

CRA GROUP LIMITED is engaged in a comprehensive review of its housing services to explore potential savings and efficiencies through structural and organizational changes. This includes the possibility of reintegrating services internally.

The Housing Transformation Manager will play a pivotal role in guiding this initiative, working closely with both internal project management teams and specialized external consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

The role encompasses the daily oversight of teams responsible for:

  • Housing Regeneration, Enabling, and Development, focusing on leading the organization's housing development and regeneration projects.
  • The Refugee Resettlement Team.
  • Housing Strategy and Commissioning, including managing relationships with:
    • the housing ALMO, Sutton Housing Partnership (SHP);
    • Encompass LATC, which oversees homelessness functions;
    • Sutton Living Ltd, the property development entity.

Essential Experience:

Candidates must demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in housing management, ideally within a local government framework.
  • Significant experience in leading transformational projects or programs, including project planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership collaboration skills with housing associations, developers, community organizations, and government bodies.
  • Knowledge of housing policies, regulations, and best practices within the UK context, including familiarity with relevant legislation such as the Housing Act and planning regulations.

Essential Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Housing Studies, Urban Planning, Public Administration, or Business Management is required. Additional qualifications or certifications in project management, change management, or housing policy are advantageous.

Additional Information:

This position requires a commitment of 36 hours per week. For suitable candidates, part-time arrangements (minimum three days per week) may be considered. The role is hybrid, primarily based at the organization's offices, with the flexibility of agile working. Regular in-person attendance will typically be required at least two days a week, with occasional evening meetings for council committees.
