Deputy Director for Quality Job Description

Amber Mace is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director for Quality to join their team at a small nursing home located near Chipping Norton. The successful candidate will work closely with the home manager to support leadership and management, clinical governance, and quality/compliance throughout the home.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support and deputise for the Home Manager in their absence, ensuring seamless continuity of care and management.
  2. Assist in the delegation of workloads and care resources, promoting efficient use of staff and resources.
  3. Ensure accurate care records are kept and incidents/accidents are reported in accordance with company policy, maintaining the highest standards of care and compliance.
  4. Promote and maintain a high standard of care, adhering to the latest guidelines and best practices.
  5. Ensure effective induction of all staff, together with supervision of trained staff, as well as providing mentorship, assessment, and induction of new care staff.
  6. Conform to the latest guidelines and maintain the highest levels of care governance, regularly auditing practices and procedures to ensure excellence.
Requirements:
  1. Valid UK NMC PIN.
  2. Experience at a supervisory level in a similar care environment (2 years experience).
  3. Elderly/Dementia experience.
  4. NVQ Level 5 - desirable but not essential.
  5. Good working knowledge of current CQC regulations.
  6. Experience of leading and managing a team.
