About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursery Assistant Practitioner to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a nurturing and enabling environment for children to learn and thrive, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Act as a key worker to named children, conducting regular observations and developmental reports, and maintaining open communication with parents and carers.
  • Work collaboratively with the team and parents to provide a positive and professional role model, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 2 child care qualification (Ofsted approved)
  • Level 2 in numeracy and literacy
  • Experience of working in a nursery setting with children aged three months to five years
  • Good knowledge of child care development, EYFS, and current practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
