Job Overview

HW Interim Solutions is seeking an experienced Interim Senior Controller to join our team on a 6-month basis. As a key member of our financial team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation of quarterly and annual Group statutory financial statements, executing ad hoc transaction accounting, and preparing local GAAP/IFRS statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with IFRS/GAAP.
  • Oversee the preparation of all required regulatory filings and disclosures.
  • Ensure compliance with external reporting requirements, including monitoring changes in financial reporting standards.
  • Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Effectively communicate financial information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the financial reporting process to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide technical expertise to the wider team on transaction and project-based accounting.

The ideal candidate will be ACA qualified with at least 10 years of post-qualification experience, with a proven track record of working in complex and fast-paced environments. This role will be delivered on a day rate outside IR35 and will be based in Yorkshire on a hybrid basis (3 days per week onsite). The successful candidate must be available to start immediately or within a short period.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
