Senior EHS Specialist Opportunity

Apleona UK is seeking a highly skilled Senior EHS Specialist to drive our commitment to environmental, health and safety excellence in our Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) team.

About the Role

This pivotal position ensures compliance and promotes a culture of safety across our operations and our life science client operations in the Wirral. The Senior EHS Specialist will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement and support impactful EHS programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement EHS programs and initiatives.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on EHS procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics and trends.

Requirements
  • Experience working in a Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical or a Regulated Compliant Environment.
  • Working with Quality Management System requirements.
  • Knowledge/Experience of Occupational Hygiene EHS preferably in a Lab GxP Pharmaceutical Environment.
  • Level 3 or above Health and Safety practitioner (NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent).
  • A foundation level or above Environment qualification.
  • Experience of working in cGMP & cGDP environments.
  • Knowledge of Facilities Management - soft and hard services.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexible approach to working hours to ensure our client receives the best service all the time.
  • Auditing experience.
  • Experience of dealing with site waste (general & Hazardous), documentation and compliance.
