Job Opportunity: Behavioural Mentor

Job Title: Behavioural Mentor

Location: Worsley, Salford

Salary: Up to £95 per day (depending on experience)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 3:30 pm

Contract: Long-term, with the potential to become permanent

Role Overview

As a Behavioural Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students who are at risk of exclusion by building strong, trusting relationships in the classroom.

Your focus will be to help these students improve their behavior and engagement with learning, creating a positive impact on their academic and personal development.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Engage and support students who face behavioral challenges
  2. Build strong relationships with students to encourage positive behavior and learning
  3. Work alongside teachers to promote a safe and inclusive classroom environment
  4. Monitor student progress and adapt support strategies as needed
  5. Assist with behavior management, conflict resolution, and promoting emotional well-being
Requirements

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  1. Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school setting
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate students
  3. Ability to build positive relationships with students who are at risk of exclusion
  4. A calm, empathetic, and patient approach to managing challenging behavior
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to support student progress
