Job Title: Cloud IT Architect

We are seeking a skilled Cloud IT Architect to join our team at SmartSourcing Ltd. As a Cloud IT Architect, you will be responsible for designing, building, and managing cloud services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud platforms.
  2. Manage and optimize cloud services, ensuring high availability and security.
  3. Lead the delivery, provisioning, maintenance, and support of infrastructure in both BAU and Project/Programme settings.
  4. Implement and manage cloud security controls, including permissions, monitoring, identity management, and key vaults.
  5. Deploy and manage virtualisation technologies, preferably Microsoft Hyper-V Server.
  6. Utilize containerisation technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker.
  7. Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  8. Manage SQL Server environments, focusing on provisioning, performance, capacity management, and troubleshooting.
Technical Skills Qualifications:
  1. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange Online/Office 365, Office 365 SaaS, and Windows 10.
  2. Strong experience with Active Directory, DNS, Microsoft Intune MDM, and cloud-hosted technologies, especially Microsoft Azure.
  3. Proficiency in cloud security controls and best practices.
  4. Experience with containerisation technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
  5. Knowledge of SQL Server management and Linux Ubuntu.
  6. Microsoft Certified Professional qualification is desirable.
  7. Ability to automate infrastructure tasks with tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
  8. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  9. Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or higher certification.
  10. Proven experience in a technical infrastructure role, managing cloud platforms and virtualisation technologies.
