Senior Manager

We are seeking a confident and persuasive Senior Manager to help educate and explain the benefits of renewable energy projects to local communities and businesses from a social, economic, and environmental perspective.
As a Senior Manager, you will travel across the North of England, managing 2-3 projects simultaneously. You will meet with community stakeholders, including community groups, local councillors, MPs, local councils, and local businesses, to influence opinion through community group meetings, open days, and community surveys.
You will work closely with project management teams on planning proposals and collaborate with marketing teams on producing news releases, social media content, and brochures, images, and video content related to the projects.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in public affairs, public liaison, community engagement, community relations, or corporate communications. We will also consider exceptional relationship managers from a sales background and those in commercial roles with experience as a councillor or close-hand experience of local government and policy making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage with local communities and businesses.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community groups, local councillors, and MPs.
- Work closely with project management teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to produce high-quality content and materials.
- Monitor and report on project progress and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in public affairs, public liaison, community engagement, community relations, or corporate communications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong project management skills.
- Knowledge of local government and policy making.
