This acclaimed civil, structural, and environmental consultancy focuses on the energy sector, hazardous projects, and highly regulated environments. This office-based position provides the opportunity to develop and lead a team, broaden the client base, and ensure high-quality project execution. Initially, responsibilities will include site assessments, competitive bidding, and project oversight. As the team expands, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to mentor staff and contribute to further office growth.
The ideal candidate should possess a degree in a relevant engineering field and hold Chartership status with a recognized professional body such as MICE or ISTructE. If you are actively pursuing chartership, we encourage you to apply. A background in Civil/Structural engineering and experience in project bidding and management are preferred. While prior managerial experience is advantageous, it can be cultivated through internal training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, mentor, and enhance the skills of the engineering team.
- Conduct site visits to understand project scope and pricing for effective management of deliverables.
- Build external networks to optimize outreach to potential clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management to devise and implement growth strategies.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience in Civil/Structural engineering.
- Preferably experienced in mentoring and developing team competencies.
- Chartership status with a relevant professional body (MICE, ISTructE) is preferred; support will be provided for the right candidate to obtain this.
