Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter to join our team at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service. As an on-call Firefighter, you will be responsible for responding to emergency situations and engaging with your community to promote fire safety and prevention.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency calls and incidents, providing life-saving services and protecting people and property.
  • Participate in community outreach and education programs to promote fire safety and prevention.
  • Collaborate with other emergency services and community groups to enhance public safety and well-being.
  • Participate in regular training and drills to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  • Work closely with other team members to ensure effective communication and coordination during emergency responses.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent physical fitness, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. You must also be able to reach the fire station quickly and safely after being alerted to an incident.
