Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Driver Trainer to join our team at our Telford site. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our drivers receive the highest quality training, enabling them to operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive Driver CPC training programs to our driver workforce.
- Provide in-depth training on drivers' hours regulations, tachograph operation, and Working Time Directive (WTD) compliance for both new starters and existing drivers.
- Conduct thorough new starter inductions and onboarding processes.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of all training programs, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our drivers.
- Provide detailed reports on driver performance following training courses, utilizing coaching techniques to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all driver training activities.
- Collaborate closely with the Transport Management team to optimize training initiatives and maximize benefits for all drivers.
- Monitor driving standards across our fleet and provide valuable insights and guidance to relevant departments, such as Health & Safety, Transport, and Human Resources.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safe working practices at Culina sites, customer locations, and delivery points.
- In-depth knowledge of the Road Transport Directive and current drivers' hours regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Essential LGV C&E Driving Licence.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling clear and concise delivery of training information.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced driving qualification (desirable).
- Excellent presentation skills.
